In a series of high-level meetings held in the capital of Aden, President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council and President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the rule of law, enhancing human rights protection, and stabilizing key regions. His engagements with legal, military, and governmental officials underscored his strategic vision for governance, security, and economic development, reflecting his broader commitment to international values, human rights, and international collaboration.

During a crucial meeting with Minister of Legal Affairs and Human Rights Ahmed Arman, President Al-Zubaidi emphasized the importance of documenting war crimes and human rights violations committed by the Houthi militia against civilians. The discussion focused on strengthening legal institutions to ensure accountability and justice for victims.

The President stressed the necessity of collaborating with international human rights organizations to expose the Houthis' systematic crimes against humanity. He underscored the need for legal mechanisms that hold perpetrators accountable and protect civilians from further harm. This aligns with his broader vision of a rights-based governance model that prioritizes justice and adherence to international legal norms. Also, as part of his ongoing efforts to firm security and governance, President Al-Zubaidi met with the governors of Abyan and Al-Dhalea, Major General Abu Bakr Hussein Salem and Major General Ali Muqbel Saleh. The discussions revolved around strengthening local security forces, addressing challenges in service delivery, and ensuring that state institutions function effectively in these governorates. As security and stability remain at the heart of Al-Zubaidi’s leadership, with a focus on countering terrorist threats, militia influence, and organized crime. His administration is committed to ensuring that public institutions functioning effectively & safely, emphasized that local authorities must work in coordination with security forces to maintain law and order. Because without stability, there can be no development. It is our responsibility to ensure our people feel safe, and our institutions must work together to achieve that.

Furthermore, recognizing the vital role of youth in shaping the future, President Al-Zubaidi met with Minister of Youth and Sports Nayef Saleh Al-Bakri to assess ongoing projects to develop sports infrastructure. The meeting focused on enhancing opportunities for young people through sports development, aiming to provide positive alternatives to extremism and conflict. The President underscored the need for greater development in youth programs, as young people deserve every opportunity to build a better future. By developing sports infrastructure, creating healthier communities & fostering a sense of national pride.

Beyond these internal governance efforts, President Al-Zubaidi has been actively engaging with regional and international partners, emphasizing the importance of cooperation in South Yemen’s stabilization efforts. His administration has been working closely with regional allies & the broader international community to secure economic support, enhance governance frameworks, and implement institutional reforms that align region with local & global international standards. He has also highlighted the need for international backing in rebuilding key institutional systems, strengthening and ensuring economic recovery through sustainable development initiatives.
