President Al-Zubaidi Reviews the Work of the Customs Authority and Free Zone Security

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council and Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council, reviewed the progress of work at the Customs Authority and Free Zone Security in the capital, Aden, during his meeting today, Monday, with Abdulhakim Al-Qubati, Director of the Customs Authority; Major General Mutahar Al-Shuaibi, Aden’s Security Director; Colonel Jamal Dayan, Director of Free Zone Security; and Mohsen Qahtan, Director General of Free Zone Customs.


During the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi received a detailed briefing on the operations of the Customs Authority and the efforts being made to enhance customs performance and regulate the monitoring of imported and exported goods. These efforts aim to streamline commercial activity and prevent any illegal practices. The discussion also covered the key challenges facing customs operations and the necessary measures to overcome obstacles, ensuring smooth customs processes that contribute to strengthening the national economy.


Additionally, President Al-Zubaidi was presented with a brief report on the security situation at customs entry points, outlining the ongoing efforts by security forces to combat smuggling and prevent any attempts to harm the local economy by bringing in prohibited or substandard goods.


The meeting also addressed measures taken to resolve complaints from citizens and businesses dealing with customs.
