The National Media Authority Calls for Mobilizing All Media Efforts to Confront the Houthi Militia

The National Media Authority of the South held its regular meeting today in the capital, Aden, chaired by Salem Thabet Al-Awlaki, Head of the Authority and official spokesperson of the Southern Transitional Council.

The meeting reviewed the latest political, military, security, and service developments, as well as mechanisms for addressing these developments through media engagement.

During the meeting, the Authority called for directing the media discourse toward fundamental issues that reflect the unity of the South, its social fabric, and the steadfastness of its political leadership in confronting the Houthi militia, terrorist groups, and all conspiracies targeting the South its land, people, and identity.

The Authority stressed the importance of unifying media efforts toward the real battle against the terrorist Houthi militia, which has destroyed the country, brought tragedies to the people, and posed threats to both regional and international navigation. It emphasized the need to shed light on the human rights violations committed by these militias against civilians.

The Authority urged all writers, journalists, and media professionals as well as media outlets affiliated with the components of the Presidential Leadership Council to act responsibly and focus their attention on mobilizing all efforts, energies, and media institutions toward confronting the terrorist Houthi militia and supporting continued local and international deterrence operations against it.

The meeting also discussed a number of media-related issues and took several necessary decisions and measures in this regard.
