Hadramout Governor Discusses Preparations to Commemorate the 9th Anniversary of the Liberation of the Hadramout Coast

Hadramout Governor, Mr. Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madi, met today in his office with the Commander of the Second Military Region, Major General Talib Saeed Bargash, and the Director General of the General Directorate of Security in the Hadramout Coast, Brigadier General Mutie Saeed Al-Minhali, to discuss the ongoing preparations for commemorating the ninth anniversary of the liberation of the Hadramout Coast from the grip of terrorist elements on April 24, 2016.

During the meeting, the Governor emphasized the significant importance that this anniversary holds in the hearts of all the sons of Hadramout, and their profound pride in the sacrifices made for the liberation of the city of Mukalla and the Hadramout coastal cities from the control of Al-Qaeda terrorist organization.

He called for preserving the military achievements made by the people of Hadramout, foremost among them the Hadrami Elite Forces, which are considered the impenetrable shield and strong protective barrier of Hadramout. He also prayed for mercy upon the righteous martyrs who gave their lives in defense of Hadramout and its citizens, and to ensure a better future for its coming generations.

Governor bin Madi directed all military and security units to raise their alertness and readiness levels, and to strengthen integration among the various formations, in order to maintain public security and stability, and to preserve civil peace and the safety of citizens. He stressed that the task of protecting Hadramout and ensuring its security falls under the responsibility of the army and security forces operating under the umbrella of the legitimate state and its recognized institutions.
