Al-Kathiri Reviews the Economic Corporation's Plans in the Capital Aden to Meet Market Needs for Basic and Consumer Goods

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council and President of the National Assembly, met today, Tuesday, with Brigadier General Faris Qassem Subeira, who was recently appointed as the Director General of the Economic Corporation in the capital, Aden.

At the outset of the meeting, Al-Kathiri congratulated Brigadier General Faris on gaining the trust of the political leadership through his new appointment. He noted that the Economic Corporation is one of the most prominent national institutions and must play its pivotal role in supporting the national economy and alleviating part of the suffering endured by citizens.

Al-Kathiri listened to a briefing by Brigadier General Subeira on the Economic Corporation's work plan for the upcoming phase, aimed at supporting and developing its affiliated sectors and meeting local market needs for essential and consumer goods.

Al-Kathiri affirmed the Southern Transitional Council’s support for the Corporation's leadership in fulfilling the current stage’s requirements and enhancing its effectiveness in carrying out its economic and service-related duties.
