President Al-Zubaidi Affirms Full Support for Efforts to Reform and Activate the Judicial System

President Commander Aidaroos Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council and Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council, met today, Saturday, with Judge Mohsen Al-Houshabi, President of the Supreme Judicial Council.

During the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi was briefed by Judge Al-Houshabi on the progress of work within the judicial authorities and public prosecution offices, as well as the challenges they are facing amid the exceptional circumstances the country is going through.

President Al-Zubaidi also listened to a detailed explanation regarding the conditions of judicial personnel and members of the prosecution, and the ongoing efforts to improve their circumstances. The briefing also covered the current changes being implemented within certain judicial bodies, and the mechanisms of judicial oversight and inspection aimed at evaluating performance, enhancing efficiency, reinforcing discipline and transparency, and solidifying the principles of justice and the rule of law.

President Al-Zubaidi affirmed his full support for all efforts aimed at reforming and activating the judicial system, in a manner that ensures the achievement of justice, and the provision of a safe and stable environment that protects citizens’ rights and safeguards state institutions.

For his part, Judge Al-Houshabi appreciated President Al-Zubaidi’s attention and continuous support for the judiciary, confirming the Supreme Judicial Council’s commitment to advancing judicial performance and overcoming the obstacles hindering the work of courts and prosecution offices—enabling them to carry out their duties efficiently and with integrity.
