In its regular meeting held today, Thursday, January 30, 2025, chaired by Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Council, the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council emphasized the need for the return of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to the capital, Aden, to resume their duties. The Presidency also discussed a report on the government's plan to address economic challenges and reviewed the results of the joint meeting with representatives of international organizations and missions. The Presidency reaffirmed its welcome to international organizations, urging them to relocate their headquarters to Aden, with necessary facilitation to ensure the smooth functioning of their work.

This statement is part of ongoing efforts to enhance stability in the capital, Aden, and provide a safe environment for international organizations. The Southern Transitional Council has previously called on all international organizations working in Yemen to relocate their main offices from Sana'a to Aden, noting that the city has become a safe and stable environment for humanitarian work, offering protection and logistical facilities to efficiently carry out their tasks.

At the end of the meeting, the Presidency took a number of decisions and assignments related to the issues on the agenda, as part of its continuous efforts to improve the economic and living conditions of citizens and enhance cooperation with international organizations to support development and relief efforts in the region
