The recent assault occurred just 48 hours following the detainment of a group composed of 7 ISIS operatives who attempted to move from an area governed by the Houthis, Al-Bayda, towards Yafaa.   The Southern troops allege that the Houthis, who receive support from Iran, have collaborated with AQAP and ISIS in their efforts to attack the governorates in the southern region. As of now, the Houthis have remained silent about the clashes and have not issued any statements. Moreover, the Houthis allege that their adversaries are collaborating with AQAP and ISIS in the conflict areas. By the end of 2021, the Houthis had successfully captured Al-Bayda governorate as a significant component of their extensive military operation in the region.
