President Al-Zubaidi confirms the Transitional Council’s keenness on presidential cohesion and participation in the negotiating team   Aden, Ain Al-Janoub [caption id="attachment_1434" align="alignnone" width="300"]President Al-Zubaidi confirms the Transitional Council’s keenness on presidential cohesion and participation in the negotiating team President Al-Zubaidi confirms the Transitional Council’s keenness on presidential cohesion and participation in the negotiating team[/caption]   Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, affirmed the Transitional Council’s keenness on the unity and cohesion of the Presidential Leadership Council, stressing the need to expedite the announcement of the joint negotiating team in which the Southern Transitional Council participates to manage the negotiating process.   This came during his meeting today with the American envoy to Yemen, Mr. Tim Linder King, to discuss regional and international efforts aimed at ending the war and bringing peace to our country and the initiatives proposed for a solution.   In this regard, Al-Zubaidi renewed the support and backing of the Southern Transitional Council and the Presidential Leadership Council for these efforts, stressing the importance of reaching a comprehensive ceasefire and engaging in a political process without preconditions that addresses all issues, foremost among which is the issue of the people of the South.   The meeting also discussed developments in the political, economic, and humanitarian situation in our country in light of the Houthi militias continuing their military escalation on various fronts.   In this context, Al-Zubaidi confirmed that the Houthi militias took advantage of the truce to mobilize their fighters to the fronts and consolidate their control over the resources in the areas under their control to enhance the war effort of their members.   Al-Zubaidi pointed out that the Presidential Leadership Council made many concessions to enhance the chances of reaching lasting peace, at a time when the Houthi militias continue their intransigence and rejection of all efforts aimed at ending the conflict and bringing peace to the region.   For his part, the American envoy renewed his country's government's position in support of ending the war in our country and starting a comprehensive peace process that accommodates various issues, as well as his support for the unity and cohesion of the Presidential Command Council to carry out the tasks assigned to it.
