The independence is the long-awaited dream of the southerners."[/caption]   They will take the path of sacrifice and hard work to restore their state and maintain their independence, even if the price is heavy.     The South-North Partnership dates back to 1990, when a unity agreement was signed between the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen and the Arab Republic of Yemen. At that time, the partnership was considered an important step to achieve stability and integration between the south and the north, and it was seen as a step towards reducing conflict between the two sides.   However, the era of the North-South partnership ended in 2015, as it became completely unacceptable in the South. After the cease-fire agreement between the two sides, a government of national unity was formed, but it was unable to meet the demands of the south, including economic development and equal access to public services such as water, electricity and sanitation.   Because of these circumstances, the South is today able to protect its land, people, and gains, and no one can impose any options that affect their just cause. Although some groups are calling for a return to partnership, it will not yet be accepted in the south.   In light of this situation, the south, led by the Southern Transitional Council, is working to build its authority and restore its history. The South is working seriously to harness its wealth in building the future of its generations, and this is truly considered a project sanctioned by divine laws, man-made laws and human norms.   In addition, giving the south the right to self-determination is a regional and international interest to find balances on the scene. Stability in Yemen requires a comprehensive and fair political solution that can meet the demands of all groups and parties concerned. Therefore, the international community must place the issue of the south at the forefront of its priorities. Giving the people of the south the right to self-determination.
