Tension in Hadramout because of the Yemeni occupation force

REPORTS - 1 year ago

Southern Eye / Private "Tension in ramah, Hadramout due to military terrorism, after the killing of a resident by the First Military Region forces. The sources have reported an increase in crimes committed by the military forces against the southern residents in Hadramout, as if they are provoking southern anger. This incident is a new spark for escalating tension in the area, and it seems that the Southern Transitional Council will use all possible means to send military reinforcements to Rama to confront this situation. This comes in the context of separating Mahra from Wadi Hadramout, in preparation for liberating it from the grip of the First Military Region forces, which have occupied the area since the previous aggression. The First Military Region in Wadi Hadramout is one of the most dangerous hotspots of terrorism in the south. The history of this area goes back thirty years, where the Yemeni occupation forces and terrorist organizations allied with them, including the Muslim Brotherhood, Al-Qaeda, and ISIS, were planted there, posing a real threat to the security and stability of Hadramout and the south. The record of the First Military Region is full of crimes saturated with political assassinations, protecting looters, and financing terrorists. This record includes suppression and persecution of political activists and popular activities, looting vast areas of endowment lands, supporting terrorist elements in the region, facilitating their movements by issuing military cards and numbers for them, and protecting the corrupt Yemeni forces that loot the oil, gas, and other resources of Hadramout. In addition, the First Military Region constitutes an obstacle to achieving the legitimate demands of the people of Hadramout for freedom and independence. According to the Second Popular Gift, they demanded to hand over the task of securing the province to the Hadrami elite forces, considering them the most capable and eager to secure the province. They see that the presence of the First Military Region is a fertile environment for the growth and multiplication of terrorist groups that receive their training and funding in their camps and graduate from them and return to them. In addition, the First Military Region constitutes a direct threat to civilians in the valley and the coast, where cases of terrorist attacks against civilians have increased in the areas of the valley and the coast, especially in the city of Mukalla and the surrounding areas, and the western sector of the valley."
