The Security Belt Forces, in coordination with the Anti-Narcotics Unit in the capital, Aden, carried out a large-scale security operation targeting drug dealers and traffickers. The operation resulted in the arrest of several suspects and the seizure of significant quantities of narcotics.

As part of the operation conducted by the Eastern Sector of the Security Belt and the Anti-Narcotics Unit, three suspects were arrested in possession of drugs:

(A. S.) was caught with the drug "Shabu."
(H. M.) was apprehended at the Al-Rahab checkpoint.(A. A. M. Al-Baydani), also known as "Abu Abdulaziz," one of the most prominent traffickers, was found in possession of 1.5 kg of hashish and tools for consuming Shabu.
During the investigations, evidence revealed a network of traffickers and users connected to drug dealers. Phone records of the third suspect showed multiple drug purchase requests, including one from an individual named "M. J." requesting half a kilogram of hashish.

Through coordinated security efforts, authorities arranged a meeting with M. J. on Sunday evening at Suzuki Roundabout to arrest him during the drug handover.

The head of the Anti-Narcotics Unit, accompanied by his team, used a civilian vehicle (a Foxy van belonging to the suspect Al-Baydani) as a decoy to avoid suspicion.

Upon arrival at the location, M. J. was spotted inside a Chevrolet with Aden license plate number (34208). When the unit leader attempted to open the car door to arrest him, the suspect tried to escape recklessly by reversing at high speed, running over the unit leader and injuring his leg.

In response, the security forces fired at the car’s tires to disable it and prevent the suspect from fleeing. Despite this, he continued driving until he crashed into a metal barrier on the sidewalk.

After securing the vehicle, the suspect was found bleeding. The security forces immediately transported him to Al-German Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

A search of M. J.’s vehicle led to the discovery of:

268 grams of hashish inside his bag.
300,000 Yemeni riyals in cash.
A personal mobile phone and drug paraphernalia.
Video recordings documented the details of the incident, further strengthening the evidence against the detained suspects.

The leadership of the Security Belt Forces in Aden reaffirmed its commitment to continuing operations against drug traffickers and dealers, stressing that these campaigns are carried out under the supervision of the competent prosecution authorities and in accordance with legal procedures to ensure that all those involved are brought to justice.
