In a discussion panel organized by South24 titled "The STC and the Hadramout Inclusive Conference: Points of Divergence and Agreement in Hadramout", the Special Representative of the President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) for Foreign Affairs, Amr Al-Beidh, emphasized the existing consensus between the STC and the Hadramout Inclusive Conference regarding the need to support Hadramout’s distinctiveness in managing its own affairs.

Al-Beidh pointed out that the main disagreement lies in defining the framework under which the Hadramout Inclusive Conference operates and its position on the Southern national project. He called for a joint agreement to elect a local authority in Hadramout based on the Hadrami elite and the governorate’s diversity.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Hadramout Inclusive Conference, Akram Naseeb Al-Ameri, stated that there are many points of agreement with the STC, stressing the need for a continued dialogue to enhance cooperation and achieve the demands of Hadramout’s citizens.

These discussions come as part of ongoing efforts to unify visions among various Southern components, aiming to enhance stability and fulfill Hadramout’s residents’ demands within a federal decentralised Southern state framework.
