The General Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council extends its highest expressions of gratitude, appreciation, and recognition to all the free and honorable sons and daughters of the Southern people, who heeded the call of national duty and participated actively and responsibly in the protest stand and the massive popular march. The march began at the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and concluded in front of the headquarters of the General Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, expressing their firm rejection and strong condemnation of the decision of the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, and his irresponsible instructions to close the General Assembly headquarters last Thursday.

The General Assembly affirms that this massive popular demonstration was a great national success, crowned by the reopening of the Southern Transitional Council General Assembly headquarters. This scene clearly reflected the unconquerable will of the people and reinforced the truth that the voice of the people cannot be silenced, and that Southern national institutions will remain open through the will and protection of their people.

While the General Assembly highly appreciates this wide popular turnout, it considers it a clear political and popular message, leaving no room for misinterpretation. Through this demonstration, the people of the South collectively confirmed the nullification of the closure decision and the overturning of Al-Alimi’s order aimed at silencing the voice of the people. They renewed their pledge that their will is unbreakable, and any attempts at restriction or targeting will not deter them from defending their national institutions and political gains, which were not granted as favors by anyone but achieved through the immense sacrifices of martyrs and wounded for the sake of freedom, dignity, and the restoration of Southern national sovereignty.

The General Assembly also expresses its deep pride in the positions of all segments of the Southern people, both at home and abroad, and in the sincere solidarity, widespread condemnation, and clear denunciation they expressed regarding the arbitrary closure decision. This action is seen as a serious assault on the will of the Southern people, a direct targeting of their representative institutions, and a desperate attempt to undermine national achievements that were seized through the blood of martyrs and the sacrifices of heroes.

The General Assembly affirms that any tampering with the headquarters of the Southern Transitional Council or any attempt to restrict its political and institutional activities is entirely unacceptable and will be met with broad popular rejection. Such actions will not be permitted under any pretext or justification, given that the Council represents a true expression of the aspirations and free will of the Southern people.

The General Assembly confirms that the Southern people will continue steadfastly, with firm resolve, in achieving their legitimate national aspirations to restore their independent Southern state, under their political leadership represented by President Commander Aidros Qassem Al-Zoubaidi. They rely on Southern unity, adhere to their chosen path of struggle, and remain confident in the justice of their cause, which will not be broken by attempts at targeting or marginalization.

In conclusion, the General Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council renews its thanks and pride in the conscious Southern masses. It emphasizes that unity of ranks and the people’s rallying around their just cause and national institutions will remain the solid rock upon which all attempts to tamper with Southern will or undermine its achievements will shatter. We pray to God to protect the Southern people and grant them success in their path toward freedom, dignity, and the realization of their envisioned future.
