On Thursday morning, the partial civil disobedience campaign continued in Zinjibar, the capital of Abyan Governorate, for the third consecutive day, in response to the agenda of the field escalation committee and a call by the General Confederation of Southern Workers' Trade Unions, protesting the deteriorating living and service conditions, and in categorical rejection of systematic starvation and humiliation policies, as well as the "war of services."

The third day of civil disobedience witnessed total compliance and widespread discipline among shop owners and various establishments throughout the district, with markets keeping their doors completely shut since the early morning hours.

Escalation committees and various concerned entities praised this honorable commitment and the broad response from shop owners, emphasizing that this responsible stance reflects a deep national awareness and a genuine understanding of the current critical phase.

They also expressed high praise for the significant public interaction and support shown by the residents of Zinjibar, embodied in the widespread rallying around peaceful escalation choices to break the blockade imposed on the citizens of the South and to reject policies of collective punishment.

This ongoing success on its third day serves as a natural extension of the momentum witnessed during the first and second days, reaffirming the unity of the popular stance in the South and its rejection of all attempts at subjugation through the deterioration of basic services.

For their part, the field escalation committees reiterated that these peaceful militant activities will continue and escalate until all legitimate demands are met—foremost among which are addressing the dire living conditions, reclaiming rights, and fully achieving the aspirations of the people in the South without compromise.
