A Call for International Support for the Southern Transitional Council as a convenient Partner for Peace and Stability in the South

The South is currently facing exceptional political, economic, and social challenges. In this context, the Southern Transitional Council (STC) has emerged as a leading political entity committed to international partnerships and the development of a modern state founded on the rule of law and human rights, steering clear of any extremist ideologies or religious exploitation. Given the prevailing situation, cooperation with the international community—especially with the US, EU & GGC—is essential to sustain regional stability and enhance both regional and global security.

The STC offers a vision rooted in moderation, striving to build an independent southern state that upholds international laws, adheres to United Nations charters, and fosters strategic partnerships with the global community. The Council is committed to:

Establishing a modern civil state: One that respects human rights, freedoms, and upholds democratic principles.

Promoting peace and global security: Through policies grounded in tolerance and coexistence, distancing itself from extremism.

Enhancing regional security: Through cooperation to combat terrorism and prevent its spread, contributing to regional stability.

The international community, especially the US, UAE & EU, plays a critical role in supporting the STC's efforts for several reasons:

Combating Extremism and Terrorism.

South is a pivotal area in the fight against extremist and terrorist groups that threaten both regional and global security. With the support of the international community, the STC can serve as a primary partner in confronting these threats, creating a safe and stable environment that aligns with global security objectives, hence we believe that any delay or hesitation in building this strategic partnership for sure will make the situation worse, when it comes to the external, internal agendas that threaten the social, economic, security & peace.

The STC is committed to building a nation that adheres to the principles of a free-market economy and supports foreign investments, opening pathways for economic partnerships and creating job opportunities for southern citizens. International support for this vision can significantly contribute to the region's economic growth and stability.

The STC has a clear track record of respecting human rights and adhering to international law, making it a reliable partner for the global community. The Council endorses international peace agreements and seeks to adopt a constitution that protects the rights of all and establishes an independent judiciary.

STC cooperation with the US UAE, EU & other involved countries strengthens strategic partnerships to address shared regional challenges, from combating terrorism and extremism to addressing humanitarian crises. South, with its strategic location, offers international partners the opportunity to build robust relationships that foster peace and stability.

Strengthening counter-terrorism & corruption capabilities by providing logistical and training support to security forces & southern leaders in south to effectively address growing threats & related fields to these threats.
