Al-Kathiri Reviews the Progress of the Southern National Dialogue Team and Its Future Plans and Programs

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council and President of the National Assembly, met on Thursday with the Southern National Dialogue Team, headed by Mr. Abdulsalam Qassem Masad, the team’s chairman.

During the meeting which was attended by Dr. Saleh Mohsen Al-Hajj, Head of the Council’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Al-Kathiri was briefed by the team leadership on the team’s activities during the previous period, as well as the efforts it has made to promote the approach of dialogue based on the principles and foundations of the Consultative Meeting and the content of the Southern National Charter, which served as a political platform for southern components.

The Acting President of the Council also listened to a detailed presentation on the team's future programs and plans to translate the Southern National Charter’s principles and concepts into reality on the ground. In this context, Al-Kathiri praised the outcomes of the recent political symposium organized by the team, which included participation from all political, partisan, and civil southern forces and entities that signed the Southern National Charter.

Al-Kathiri emphasized the importance of the Dialogue Team continuing to build new channels of communication among various political components to strengthen the path of national partnership and enhance southern unity. He reaffirmed that the Southern Transitional Council, under the leadership of President Commander Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, remains committed to the principle of dialogue with all diverse political parties in the South, and that its doors will remain open to everyone without exception, in pursuit of consensus, cohesion, and the achievement of the goal of restoring and building the aspired federal Southern state.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Dialogue Team’s leadership and members affirmed their continued efforts to enhance southern national awareness, particularly during this critical juncture in the South’s history. They also expressed their commitment to intensifying efforts both internally and externally to strengthen the internal national front and ensure inclusive participation in shaping the features of the forthcoming Southern state.
