And educational sources in Sana'a reported that the leader, Yahya al-Houthi - the brother of the militia leader appointed to the position of Minister of Education, issued directives to cut off the incentive that was paid to male and female teachers at the end of each month, instead of the basic salary, explaining that the militia intends to take many repressive and arbitrary measures against teachers. And the teachers in order to end their strike, which enters the second month in a row, to demand the payment of salaries monthly and on a regular basis. Cutting off the incentive was accompanied by campaigns of arrests and targeting of many male and female teachers in order to end the strike, which witnessed great interaction by the teaching staff in Sana'a schools and the governorates under Houthi control. For its part, the Yemeni Teachers Club renewed its pledge to continue the comprehensive strike on education, until teachers' salaries are paid regularly, with an agreement on an effective mechanism for the salaries of past years. The club, through social media, called on educators of all denominations and categories to continue the comprehensive strike, until all their stolen rights are taken away and returned to them.
